Music Spotlight: The Host

I'm gonna start writing about new bands I enjoy that you wouldn't hear about on your dc101s or other mainstream means. Hopefully you guys enjoy

I don't know how these guys did it, but they made me absolutely not give 2 ish's about the words. That's not a negative comment, or me saying the singer is crap, it's just that the melody that the singer IS singing and the rest of the music just flow together so f'ing well. This track is called "On to the May" and I love the guitar. Absolutely love it. "Somebody else's love" is just my favorite line. Bravo.



Their myspace has three songs from their EP, and one extra. If you want to know, "Duel Rough Mix" is the one not on their cd, which is a shame...it's great. You can buy their EP through snocap on the myspace page for $5 or through their website thehostband.com for $7. The only good thing about paying $7 is that you get a sticker (woo?) but it adds more profit to the band.

There's a lot more music I've started listening to, and lately I've been spending more money on more non-mainstream bands. I'll write about some more bands I think you guys would like soon.
